My BACKPACK is MISSING

rushthatspeaksUpdate: It has now been reported stolen to Public Safety, who sounded pessimistic. They will double-check with Carpenter Housekeeping to make sure none of them put it anywhere and alert Housekeeping on the rest of campus as to what it looks like. I hope it turns up as I am in a state of continual nervous twitch without it. Over lunch, Batshua, who is officially a darling for saying this, offered to buy me a new Greek textbook. I would feel vaguely guilty about taking her up on it, but hereby take the chance to nominate her for sainthood.

I left it in my carrel over Thanksgiving because this is Bryn Mawr and my carrel is way the heck out of the way of most people going there and I would have been three hours late leaving instead of one-and-a-half if I'd had to trek all the way back to Glenmede with it.
It's not there and Carpenter lost-and-found doesn't have it and neither does public safety and godsdamnitall my Greek textbook is in there. Nothing ELSE from my carrel is missing. My Liddell and Scott is still there and so is my frickin' Econ textbook, both of which are Very Expensive Books and look it and have been there ALL SEMESTER.
This is Bryn Mawr. This does not happen. If anyone has seen it, please tell me posthaste so I can stop wondering whatinheck is going on at this college that wasn't the last three years. EVERYONE leaves stuff in carrels. That's what they're there for.
And I think I may have left my ID in New York City. I hope not. Still have to go over my room again.
