rushthatspeaksI have given in to what was quite literally popular demand and started reading Weiss and Hickman's Deathgate books. The prose is godsawful, and causes me deep pain, but the characters are nifty and the world-idea is truly impressive. Two out of three... is only two-thirds, but is tolerable, and I am enjoying myself. I've just started the second book, so apparently the true coolness of the series has yet to dawn.
The only other things going on are that I've started showing Twin Peaks, to a small but intrigued audience, and that I'm enjoying my Greek class in a deliriously fun sort of way that I don't think I've ever experiencd in a school setting before. I've enjoyed classes before, of course-- the Legendary Kors Class being a case in point-- but I enjoy my Greek class in the same way I enjoy my friends on occasion, namely, here is a group of completely insane people gathered together to do something really intellectually interesting.
For my Greek class is completely insane. Yesterday, somebody said the thing that I am presently using as my email sig: 'The genitive plural is my anchor amid the shifting paradigms of life'. Whole year's been like that. Purr.
Angst-O-Meter: 1. Stressed, but not depressed.
