My review of Lisa Goldstein's The Uncertain Places is up at Strange Horizons. Short version of my opinion: Not good.

I have been mostly net-absent because I am in Florence, Italy this month visiting Thrud, whose blog you should really all read if you aren't already. When I get back I'll post my trip travel diary, which so far has rather more than I had intended about Saint Zenobius.

Thanks for the reminder of Thrud's blog; I'd added it to my RSS reader but apparently something went wrong, so I have fixed that and will be spending some happy times going through the archives.
