My friend and housemate Ada Palmer will from now on be represented by Amy Boggs at the Donald Maass Literary Agency.

Wait, Ada Palmer as in the Ada Palmer behind the Tezuka website? The one who teaches renaissance literature?

Yes. My roommate and dear friend-- I traditionally use the pseudonym Thrud for her on this journal. There are four of us in my household, we've been living together since meeting in college. We also do this, and Ada and I are working on a book on the history of shoujo manga. I suspect her novel series is going to sell first, though.

Oh wow, I know her slightly from the anime con circuit--we were both on the Anime in Academia panel at Otakon this year. The world is so small, or rather some parts of it are. Tell her I said hi, and congratulations!

I say I didn't know you go to Otakon, if you're there this year we should hang out.

Well, hopefully I will be in Japan this summer, but if not I'm definitely going, and definitely! (I went for a while in high school & college, I've only started going again the past two years.)
