2) When's the last time you went ice-skating, and did you fall down? I was in my early teens, and was with my grandmother and parents at one of those cities where there are more casinos than people, but I don't remember which city... the hotel had an ice rink in the lobby. Yes, I fell down. That's the only time I've ever ice-skated.
3) Have you ever seen a ghost? Define 'seen' and define 'ghost'. However, according to most standard definitions (which almost certainly do not match mine) my answer would be probably. Do I talk to dead people? Certainly.
4) What fictional characters are you most like? You mean characters written by other authors? Segnbora from Diane Duane's Door Into series. When I'm feeling depressed, I have been known to turn into Tsuzuki, or into a weird combination of Tsuzuki and Muraki. I occasionally aspire to Roland from the Dark Tower series.
7) What's the most notable fortune cookie you've ever gotten (with or without the words "in bed" tacked on the end of it)? Ruth quoted the most impressive one. I was also fond of "Blessed are the children, for they shall inherit the national debt".
8) What are the seven words you use most often? 'If that makes any sense to you...'
9) What fanfic/slash premise(fandom/plot/pairing/graphic description/etc) squicks you? Insert four-hour rant on why LOTR slash not only has J.R.R. Tolkien rolling in his grave but indicates a complete lack of understanding of the ideals of heroism, chivalry and high fantasy by the people who write the stuff, even when their prose is decent, which it almost never is, with proviso that making fun of the movies is really quite understandable as long as everyone understands the movies to have nothing to do with the books and that 'Still not king' is actually a pretty good tagline.
10) How do you cure the common cold? I commonly don't get the common cold. I get sinus infections. If I do have a cold, I attempt hibernation.
11) Would you rather be flogged within an inch of your life, or locked alone in an empty room (with running water and some food)? Here we attempt the impossible task of balancing the concept of having sufficient time to write for a change against my libido. Reply hazy... it would depend entirely on when I was asked. Right now I have a $&*%*& cold so would like the room.
12) What's your favorite color? Blue, purple, gray, green.
13) What's the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? In what barometric pressure/
14) What song makes you cry every time you hear it? The Beatles, 'Strawberry Fields', Dar Williams, 'After All'.
15) How often do you pray? If prayer is defined as 'request', about once a month. If prayer is defined as 'swear at, argue with, chew out, have philosophical discussion with' etc., several times a day.
16) What animal would you want to have the ability to change into? I just want wings.
17) What's your favorite part of living here and now? The not being executed for being a lesbian witch freethinker part, and the possibility of being able to make a living even with the above.
18) Do you ever have the classic falling or naked dreams? Used to have falling dreams, but not for years, not since I got a pair of wings.
19) How much German do you know? Every word of German I know was taught to me by The Desert Peach. Consequently, I can swear.

22) Tell me a story: Once upon a time there was a woman who had roses instead of blood, but the thorns kept pricking her and she would bleed flower petals. Eventually she was hired by an anime art director to provide those whirlwinds of blossom one gets over all the angst-ridden tragedy scenes.
23) How difficult is it to get you into formal attire (for some, 'out of')? I have an absurd amount of formal clothing. It is all Bree's fault. Left to myself I wear jeans.
24) Do you have phobias? Insects, dirt, generalized massive agoraphobia, crowds of people I am slightly acquainted with, having my hair cut.
