Was this afternoon bumped out of the incredibly scary cities class. That would be fine except tomorrow is the last day of registration. Am oh so bloody thrilled with the cities professor for doing class selection so late.

Frantically looking for something else to take. Blessings on my major advisor anyway for promptly responding to my email and sending list of classes he knew hadn't filled up (course guide, of course, says upper limits of people in course but not how many tried to sign up), as well as suggesting I put down the most likely two for registrar's benefit and drop the one I don't do later. This is good as deadline for changing stuff on virtual registrar is midnight tonight. Appropriate changes made. Appropriate professors emailed. Praying to every god I know that at least one of said professors will be reasonable about my joining up on second session of three-hundred level course.

I know, I know, should have had default class lined up. But original professor had promised to put people in who needed class most, and as having to take three-hundred level Right Now, I was up there on list and had every reason to expect to get in. Also, given three-hundred level course lotteries, was not prepared to deal with hassle of being in more than one lottery at once.

Not to mention that all cities three-hundreds meet at exact same time and bilocation not my strong point.

Scarily enough, rest of my day was equally as frustrating as course hassles. Won't go into it now as I am too tired to use proper English, and when was last time that happened in anyone's memory? Which is why I'm typing this: one, to vent about EVIL cities prof who PUT THE LOTTERY ON THE FIRST DAY OF REGISTRATION, and two, to be proud of myself in public, since as late as last fall I just Would Not Have Been Able To Cope With This and would have fallen apart all over damn place and not gotten anything useful done at all. I am happy about not falling apart. It is a real improvement.
