It was one of those layered ice creams that is supposed to have two flavors of ice cream and sundae toppings in between/at the bottom of the pint, and the sundae toppings were stale and the ice cream was bland.
Today I had mediocre hot chocolate, just bland, no richness, no bitterness, etc.
I am starting to feel a little cursed tbh. If I had not made some of the best whitefish of my cooking life, I would worry about whether I was just not tasting things fully, but no, I am, I absolutely am, and these things just did not taste of goodness.
