Wasn't me who wrote to her, but it had to be one of the four or five people sitting with me on the bench they eventually let those of us with disabilities sit on just inside the door. Honestly, I kind of wish I'd thought of it.

I wonder if the Martin cabal gently excised the notable name GRRM, or if the complaint came pre-censored?

If yes, I like to imagine that this isn't about the Hugo Losers party at all -- that there are thoughtless clumsy planners a-plenty creating the same bad scene. Most U.S. transit ends before 11p, for example.

There are thoughtless, clumsy party planners, but not that many awards dinners that have "losers parties." That's pretty unique. And I am 100% sure that the complaint came pre-anonymized, that is how letters to Miss Manners work. Anyone who wanted her advice enough to write to her would know that you do not get letters printed to her that name and shame individuals. That is not what she is for.
