First day at Second Job went well; second day at Second Job starts in an hour. After Otakon my shifts will spread out more.
Have just finished reading Stephan Zielinski's Bad Magic, on I don't know who's rec, as when
rysmiel mentioned it I went 'huh, that's a rec for the book I just for some reason or other picked up at the library'. Anyway: manic, wildly funny, nicely dark undertones, complex characters well differentiated, puts the fun into 'Cthulhu fhtagn'. I would like an RPG sourcebook for the world, although I think it is probably close enough to Mage to be wingable. Anyone know whether he has written/is writing anything else? I own a plush Necronomicon and am therefore clearly his Ideal Audience. It wasn't perfect-- I thought it ended a little abruptly and could have used to address some of the nasty questions the characters raised with actions as well as by having the characters raise them-- but it was certainly entertaining, and of far higher quality than I have generally come to expect of its brand of fantasy.
