Pictures of recently interesting objects
Oct. 30th, 2007 06:49 pmPeople have been asking me to put up pictures of Thrud's Kaoru-from-Evangelion merchandise shelf, and here they are. Also this is a handy test of my new Photobucket account. If this entry comes out all right, I can put up photos of the jack-o-lanterns from
sovay's Halloween party, and also any other pictures I feel like-- think of the power!

The one on the left is from
rachelmanija, and is I think of more recent vintage than the one we already had. Which makes sense, because clearly he has aged in the interim, possibly from the nutritive properties of the milk which snuck into his coffee.

And here is the shelf itself. The things on the wall are unrelated and are, from left to right, a Farscape still, a shot from the Ghost in the Shell manga, and a clock featuring Legato Bluesummers from Trigun (I was confused, too). On the shelf, you can see among other notable features half of Gendo Ikari (the figure comes like that), the Kaworu-as-a-girl Double X figure with its custom pants made by Thrud, the Ninja Rei and S.W.A.T. Team Asuka figures from that particular slide of Gainax's marketing division into screaming insanity, a Kaworu notepad (back left, next to coffee cans), an SD Kaworu keychain (far right, nearly cut off), and the reclining Kaworu figure that fit perfectly onto the couch that came with the complimentary figure of Chi from the box set of the Chobits manga, so that now he sits on it and she may be seen looking up at him adoringly. We have the Kaworu artbook, but it isn't on this shelf, and the posters are distributed among various walls; the manga is shelved with other manga. This shelf has almost every piece of merchandise featuring Kaworu that has ever existed-- there's a second SD keychain figure, which Thrud even used to own. Sadly, it was stolen from her in Rome by gypsies, which is an occupational hazard of living in Rome.
... I should really take and post some pics of our action figure shelves in general, because y'all should only see the shoujo figures one shelf to the left.
