not-quite-spam of the day
Sep. 6th, 2006 03:05 pmGmail has those ads around the edges which are supposed to be based on recognition of the words or phrases in your email so that they're actually ads for things that might vaguely be relevant, right?
What in the world did I or my correspondents say to cause the ad that popped up for my inbox in general to be "Ordo Templum Orialis: initiations Fast, Easy, Near Your Home! Discover secrets of the Golden Dawn without leaving your house! Magick of the ages now available cheaply, accessibly"?
Everything inside quotes was a copy-paste, btw, so I do not take responsibility for the, uh, non-Latin.
My inbox is full of scheduling emails about the Farthing Launch Party and scans of recent photos of portions of the household, and what this has to do with Aleister Crowley I haven't the foggiest.
Anybody in need of a cut-rate initiation ritual?
