And you all thought I'd forgotten, just because I haven't written any of these since last May or something like that.
This is for
untrue_accounts, who did not ask me for an insane crossover, and seems to be getting one anyway, because sometimes my brain does that. Um... I just liked the image?
Ineffable
This isn’t his cosmology, and so he likes to come here. It’s peace. It’s quiet. It’s a different kind of irritation, and really, sometimes, there’s nothing more he can ask for.
He enjoys laughing at the bearded attendant who tells him he can’t bring weapons into the presence of the deity, and he laughs more fiercely with every moment the man spends confusedly going through his pockets.
The esteemed deity is not quite laughing. It asks him, solicitously, if he needs a polish, because glass can get... sticky. He doesn’t know if he hopes that at some point the conversation will reach beyond hinting. It doesn’t actually remind him of Alexiel, except that it really, really does.
He wonders, sometimes, if playing Uno on its lunch breaks is really all the Bodhisattva of Mercy can do for Nanatsusaya on some deep cosmic level.
Kira doesn’t think he’s going to inquire.
I do know that you can't play Uno with only two people, but if anyone in the multiverse can manage it, it's Kanzeon Bosatsu.
