Was fun.

Strangest piece of merchandise seen in dealer's room: direct tie between the chibi-Xelloss solar-powered calculator and the Loki dessert forks.

Piece of merchandise I actually considered buying before realizing that it was really damn overpriced and I could do it myself cheaper: hair bells.

Cosplayer I was most impressed with: a tie between just-woken-up Alucard in straitjacket and white hair and an absolutely perfect Sephiroth with both the correct twelve-foot katana and one (1) really well-done black wing.

For the first time ever I watched anime at an anime convention: three episodes of Azumanga Daioh. Not half bad. A little too frenetic for my tastes.

Huh? moment: I asked the guy at the Bandai panel a question about the possible Wolf's Rain plushies and he called on me by saying 'you in the back with the cool hair'. Am afraid my initial reaction was, in fact, to look behind me. I gotta get over that.

Bleah factor: I spent the weekend on a cane as my back has just gotten that appalling. I borrowed the cane from Sei but have realized that it is time to get one of my own. This is an aggravating realization. As is the fact that I have gone in less than two months from being able to dance much of Hogmanay to being unable to do stairs without serious, serious pain. Have decided to hang the expense and make appointments for both a doctor and a chiropractor as this is both absurd and worrisome. I now have normal mobility and speed only with a cane. Damn it. I think I may have pulled a muscle in my hip but that does not explain the upper back.

So in general I greatly enjoyed the con and took care not to run out of painkillers. Oh, and I bought a 'ph34r t3h cute ones' shirt, which had needed to happen for a while. And I now have an official ACROSS $0 bill. Signed by Menchi as Secretary of the Treasury.

Now back to work.

Um... what about Char's Counterattack or Karekano?

I have been instructed to inform you that Sephiroth has a eight-foot katana, not a twelve foot one. It says so in the manual.
