'Tis the Season on a Greyhound...

Okay, so this is the tentative plan for my Winter Break travelling. I will be here with the parents until leaving to arrive at Syona Keleste's the 30th. I stay over New Year's and go to Hogmanay, despite having been a *twit* and having left my ghillies in my room. I always forget at least one thing when I'm packing for a month away, and it's usually something as inconvenient as possible. Does anyone have a spare pair I could borrow for the evening of Hogmanay, o those of you in the area who dance?

I stay with Syona Keleste until after the Scottish advanced class on the 2nd. If either Wayman or foleyartist1 or both are around and want to do something on the evening of the 1st or the daytime of the 2nd, that would be nifty. I leave either late at night the 2nd or early the 3rd, as Sei has invited me to Virginia and she goes back to work the 5th and frankly heaven knows when I get to see either her or nii-chan again after that, so I am taking the chance. On the 5th I go up to NYC and stay there except that my love and I would really quite like to come up to Boston at some point in there before I head back to school, especially since it looks like I am going to be missing Weirdquark in NYC. Further discussion of possible Boston-visiting dates should happen soon.

I think that is the how-to-find-me for the first half of break. I should have net access just about eveywhere.

I am going to go make an apple cake now.

Not unless you wear a size 9. At Swat, though, Public Safety would let people back into their rooms to get important stuff for a $10 fee, which I took advantage of a couple of times. Might Bryn Mawr Public Safety be willing to do something similar?

They always emphasize on the Winter Break check-out handouts that they will not let you back into the rooms; they usually say it in at least three places. So they probably don't.

Scarily enough, I do wear a size 9. Are you coming to Hogmanay, and would you be willing to let me borrow some ghillies if so?

Just to be sure we're on the same wavelength, this is a size 9 in ghillie sizes we're talking about here. But yes, I'm coming to Hogmanay, and I'll certainly bring them -- I've even just put them in my ghillie bag so I won't forget. Be warned that they're not in great shape -- the soles are getting slightly detached, especially on one heel, though a little duct tape will fix that. And I'm not sure what happened to the Spencos I had in them, so you may want to bring along a pair so you still have knees at the end of the night. (I've moved up to a size 10, which my toes are much happier for, which is why I haven't used these lately.)

I think there were plans for you and Gaudior to visit weekend of the 10th? Is that still happening? Thrud has work for school, because Harvard is strange and has exams then, but she can make time for some fun.
