Back from Worldcon. Worldcon awesome. I achieved the remarkable thing, which I had not expected, of spending a fair amount of time with all of the people on my mental list of people I was hoping to spend a fair amount of time with. And ran into a lot of the people I would have liked to run into, although there were a few people I'd have liked to run into and didn't, but that is how it goes.

Concert went well.

It turns out that I like Real Absinthe very much indeed. (Previously, there had only been Pernod.)

And, and this is the amazing bit, I achieved five solid days of con in a row and did not fall over. Granted, it turns out that programming before 11 a.m. is Right Out, but this con nearly doubled my previous continuous-activity-for-any-reason record; haven't had this much energy since I was sixteen. (Okay, the only programming I went to on Saturday was about five minutes of a Heather Dale concert and a small amount of time at open filk. But it was just as much a con day, and definitely just as active and full of pleasant social running about.) I am considering erecting a small household shrine to the iron molecule.

If you got married, changed citizenship, sold movie rights, etc. since last Wednesday, it would be very kind of you to let me know (unless it happened in Montreal, in which case I probably heard) as I have reached skip=500 skimming and there is no sign of catching up to LJ.

It was lovely to be in Montreal with you and the (once and future) Congery.

None of the above, but welcome back! Yay, awesome.

I am now the age of twenty-five! And I continue to read more fluffy manga than I can summarize.

Started taking Lyrica, after battling with my insurance. So far it's working - my fibro symptoms are down by probably 70%.

My school has hired a second Latin teacher to work with me next year.

I seem to be writing a Latin textbook.

Wait, you hadn't had Absinthe before?

Come over to our house. We have sugar cubes and can have a taste-test.

Hey, I went to a Heather Dale concert too, but it was in the middle of nowhere in Ontario, and, er, the audience was speaking Irish. She was quite good, though.
