Gratuitous Icon/Image Post.

Image first. This is my personal nomination for best cosplay not only of Anime Boston 2005 but possibly ever. Two years in the making, seven people, uncountable skill and ingenuity and gods only know what materials. This pic was taken by the staff photographer, David Ng, and is also available at his website; he does not have a repost policy listed. Mr. Ng, if you mind, please let me know.

Ladies and gentlemen... forty-foot dragon.

That is Haku from Spirited Away, and also the Best in Show award for costume. I got a chance to see the binder of the doc photos of how they did it, but I was too busy hugging it and trying to pick my jaw up to absorb much other than that there is an entire picket fence in there somewhere, and that the detail work is perfect.

I shall hunt more pics to post later, and also intend to, you know, actually write up the con and stuff like that, but I want a chance to assemble some cosplay chess pics first.

The new icon is Killua from Hunter X Hunter, because the anime of Tsubasa lost me in episode 3 and I'm feeling rather put out. I love my new graphics program. This icon was so delightfully easy to make...
