I used to have an auto-re-add policy, but my reading-list page has become unwieldy. If I haven't added you to said page, I don't mean any discourtesy; it may mean that a) I don't know who you are, in which case I encourage you to comment so that we can get to know each other; b) you post a great many image-heavy quizzes and photos which do not load well on my computer; c) you post many in-jokes and other things to which I do not understand the referents, so that it's going to take me awhile to feel as though I know what's going on; and/or d) I know you under a different online/offline name and haven't put two and two together. If you suspect that any of these things are true, especially a) or d), please comment! I want to know who you are! I am curious and occasionally scatterbrained!
In addition, if I've taken you off of my reading-list page lately, again I don't mean it discourteously, and I do apologize. In that circumstance, it means: a) I am under the impression that the LJ in question has been discontinued, and should be corrected if I am wrong; b) you post a great many image-heavy photos; c) see c) above; and/or d) I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of people with whom I am in contact over the Internet, and have lost track so thoroughly that I want to reduce and regroup.
The etiquette of this whole thing is nebulous and confusing to me, and made worse by the fact that LJ has to go and call the whole system 'friending', which is a somewhat inaccurate word, but I do want to reiterate that I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, and that I enjoy communicating with people over LJ and love making and furthering peoples' acquaintances.
