Platypodes!

Many, many delighted thanks to rabidfangirl, who does not incur the terrifying revenge usually inflicted on those who give me platypodes because I already own most of these. (Mind you, Eredien does receive my vengeance for the origami platypus of earlier this summer. It was adorable. Be afraid, dear.)
For any of you who do not know about the platypus thing: for reasons entirely beyond my comprehension, I own far too many stuffed platypodes. It started innocently enough when I was quite young, when I bought a handsome blue platypus because I thought it was cute and named it Plato, because I was quite young. I was later given a small fuchsia platypus (the Beanie Baby) as an honorarium for spending a day selling Beanie Babies and not losing most of them to shoplifters, and named it Pliny the Other, as a cheap joke. It was after that that it became absurd. A friend of mine gave me the large version of the Beanie Baby, which I named Nietsche, because if I were that color I would also believe that God was dead, and then people started giving me platypodes to see what I would name them, which is how I acquired Spinoza (identical to Pliny) and Zamyatin (a weird shade of turquoise). After that I told everyone that I would kill without mercy anyone and everyone who ever got me another platypus, in any way. It was announced some time later that Umberto Eco was going to be doing a signing at Bryn Mawr, and Syona Keleste then did the most appalling, evil, aggravating, brilliant, hilarious thing that anyone has ever done to me, by going out and buying me, godsdamnher, the Eco volume Kant and the Platypus. And I couldn't even kill her. Because of the signing. Since then, people have been occasionally sending me platypodes in attempts to find ways to do it that will not incur my wrath, and the whole thing has just degenerated.
