a driveby Yuletide rec

I haven't spent much time reading this year due to houseguests, recording more Sassafrass music, cooking, all the madness and awesome of the holidays. But [personal profile] sovay alerted me to the existence of The Best Princess Tutu Fic Ever, which, really, it is. Post-series, won't spoil you if you haven't finished but won't make any sense.

[DROSSELMEYER] The Prince and the Raven. Frankfurt, 1781, Köhler Fuchs Scholz,. 1st edition.

Quarto; 168 pages; 12 engraved plates; calfskin; handwritten message on frontispiece: 'To Edel, who serves me better now than when she was with me.'.

... that, right there, would be Doing It Right.

Oh, that's lovely.

We use Princess Tutu as comfort anime in our household.

I'm liking IoGP more and more, in hindsight. It's not a story, but it is a work of beautiful fiction.
