I continue to be amazed at how much more easily Montreal parses to me as a city now that I have been to Paris. Seriously, if you smoosh Paris into, like, Northern California, I think this is what you would get. Not other parts of France. Just Paris.

So far there has been Tibetan food and apple-cheddar French toast at brunch and Really Good Chocolate Cake at tea and the Jardin Botanique today with a whole lot of people. Thrud got some pictures of my feet next to the lotuses that look just like my feet-- I had thought doing purple lotuses with orange insides was artistic license on the tattoo artist's part, but no, purple lotuses have orange insides.

[livejournal.com profile] rysmiel spoke very sternly to my recent flare-up of chronic headache and it has very nearly gone away.

And there have also been a [livejournal.com profile] redbird and [livejournal.com profile] papersky and I have not seen much of [livejournal.com profile] mrissa yet but hopefully shall, and all sorts of people whose LJ names I don't know, and [livejournal.com profile] nineweaving came up last-minute which is awesome.

So I am having a very good birthday.

(Birthdays are awesome but confuse me. Twenty-seven? ! Highly unlikely. And it will take me the traditional six months to remember how old I am again...)
