So George Takei got married! And so did a lot of other people! And it was really awesome! And utterly adorable.

And a long time coming.

But. There's an initiative in California which if passed would destroy the legality of all the state's existing same-sex marriages, and prevent the creation of any others by amending the constitution of the state.

So rachelmanija and lady_ganesh, who are awesome, have started a fandom fundraiser for funds to fight the California anti-gay-marriage initiative. It's over at livelongnmarry. A lot of people are offering a lot of really cool things for sale, and the money will go places like Equality for All and Marriage Equality USA. Bidding starts July 1 and ends July 15th.

Offer stuff! Buy stuff! So far (on the first day) there's already jewelry, signed books, fanfic, fanart, original fic and art, professional critique services and some other stuff offered. I'm offering proofreading services (note: not critique, proofreading) and fan or original fiction.
