1. Humans cannot possibly be the only sentient life on this planet, let alone in the universe. Just don't ask me to pin down where the rest of it is.
2. My high-school ex-boyfriend is in prison somewhere. Or dead. Or he really wishes he were dead. Any of those three would be fine.
3. I am going to have the writing career I want to have, because I am capable of putting in the work and learning what to do with it.
4. At some point in the next several years, [livejournal.com profile] eredien and I are going to tour Mongolia on horseback. In addition, I am someday going to go trekking in Nepal.
5. I have not yet met everyone I am ever going to love.
6. Living in large portions of the Midwest can be very upsetting because the land has been tamed and broken to a kind of false history that lies over it in a skin of standardization. The place I used to live in Ohio has a hundred and fifty years of farming shovelled over the gaping absence of knowledge before that. Country without roots is not healthy.
7. I can believe seven impossible things before breakfast.
8. I can tell where my cats are without using any of the standard five senses.
9. Someday, I will find something to appreciate in New York City that is an intrinsic really cool quality about the city and not just a really cool set of people I know who live there for reasons absolutely beyond my comprehension.
10. It's all going to be all right, eventually, in the long run. The value of 'long run' may have to vary a good deal, but all will be well, and all will be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.
