Or something like it. Truly aggravating, or it would be if I felt well enough to care. Fortunately, it came on very suddenly, so I can have the hope it will leave the same, and it doesn't seem to cause sneezing, wheezing, or other disease-spreading symptoms, so I could go to a bookstore and read and try to stay away from people. Unfortunately, I am now home and quite bored, since I've read already this summer the usual books I read every year or so, haven't got anything lying about that I can read without having to think about it, have discovered that anything television-related gives me a headache as does more than about fifteen minutes of computer, and have not enough concentration to figure out what books in the bookstore might actually be good if I haven't read them before. I am therefore asking for book recommendations, specifically for books that are enjoyable and light but will not insult the intelligence, are relatively easy to locate (i.e. I won't have to try to find a copy from the single, 1872 edition), and that I do not go about mentioning (so that there is a chance I will not already have read them). I prefer fantasy or science fiction, but I have been known to occasionally read other things. I will appreciate any responses; it's been a reasonable summer for book-finding so far, having yielded me G.K. Chesterton, Jacqueline Carey, and The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, as well as Christopher Fry and a whole batch of reprints of E. Nesbit, (all of which I recommend, although be aware that Jacqueline Carey can be very explicit and Chesterton Impossible To Find), but those took application of my brain to hear of, trip over, or seek out, and my brain is at present completely unwilling to do any actual work. I can't seem to make it do anything much, really. Thanks muchly for anything people come up with.

Angst-O-Meter: I am ill. Angst would be redundant.
