Engine Summer

Seconding what niqaeli said. I don't know whether I'll ever watch Made In Abyss, but after reading this review I feel like I have a good sense of what the cost and value of watching it would be. I used to say, "Oh, dark fiction doesn't tend to get to me emotionally," but have now a few times walked blithely past content warnings and then looked back afterwards thinking, "ignoring that turns out to have been a sincerely bad idea." So thank you for communicating why this show is worth watching and also the extent to which I should be emotionally prepared for it, i.e. possibly more than I ever shall be.
